Botanic Garden Discovery Walk
One of the most impressive areas of Kings Park is the 17 hectare Western Australian Botanic Garden. Over 3,000 species of flowering plants have been cultivated in garden beds that represent various geographical regions. The Short Walk is 20 minutes one way, or 40 minutes return. If you have more time, the Long Walk (1 hour and 20 minutes return) is a fantastic way to cover the entire area. Find out more.
The Law Walk is Kings Park's premier urban bushland trail. It is a 2.5 km loop walk that provides visitors with scenic views of the Swan River and a unique insight into biodiversity along the Mount Eliza escarpment. Law Walk begins at Karri Pavilion and continues along the ridge of the limestone escarpment to Dryandra Lookout. Throughout the walk, visitors may observe flocks of birds, dolphins frolicking, Carnaby's cockatoo feeding on Marri trees or New Holland honeyeaters darting through the Dryandra sessilis parrot bush. Bushland Nature Trail
The Bushland Nature Trail walk offers a unique encounter with Western Australia's famous wildflowers, trees and birdlife in their natural environment. An open mia mia structure marks the entry of the trail, with a mosaic depicting the Menzies Banksia, Banksia menziesii.
