With Sculpture by the Sea, Cottesloe closing early due to COVID-19, Minderoo Foundation has supported the creation of a 'virtual tour' of the exhibition.
Sculpture by the Sea is an annual exhibition that transforms the famous sands of Cottesloe Beach into an outdoor sculpture park.
In it's 16th year, artists from 17 countries have created 70 sculptures including award-winning Japanese artist Haruyuki Uchida, one of the world's most prominent kinetic artists, as the 2020 Tourism WA Invited International Artist.
Uchida has created the largest gravity defying sculpture he has made outside of Japan for Sculpture by the Sea, Cottesloe - a new 7.5m long kinetic sculpture made from stainless steel and magnets titled 'Merry Gate'.
Other international highlights include Karl-Christian Geleff (Denmark), Dave Glass (Portugal) and Vaclav Fiala (Czech Republic), exhibiting alongside some of WA and Australia's leading sculptors.
Due to the impacts of COVID-19, the 2020 exhibition closed early, but you can now watch a highlights video of the Virtual Tour, then scroll down to view individual videos of each of the works.
