Celebrating 25 years of preserving the history of the Pickering Brook. You are invited to celebrate this momentous event for Pickering Brook Heritage Group with the launch of their History Book "The History of Pickering Brook & surrounding areas."
Launching this history book is Dr. Mathew Trinca, Director of the National Museum in Canberra who has also written the book's forward. There are 500, 230 page books printed of "The History of Pickering Brook & surrounding areas". 700 family names and 300 photos are included in this history book. Stories reflecting the hardships and happiness of family life. Wood cutting industries and early fruit orchards form part of the early times in our area.
The 10th November Festival is to celebrate these pioneers, their life, their work, schooling, social events, their contribution to Western Australia and the will to continue, no matter what life sent them.
