The Shire of Murray stretches from the canal and riverside suburbs of North and South Yunderup, Ravenswood and Dwellingup to the beautiful Darling Scarp, with historic Pinjarra at its heart. The Shire of Waroona stretches from 'sea to scarp' - from Preston Beach to inland farmlands, incorporating the character township of Waroona and peaceful Jarrah forests of Nanga Brook and Lane Poole Reserve.
Murray
The area offers a range of natural attractions, heritage sites and plenty of adventure activities including skydiving, canoeing, white-water rafting and mountain-biking. There's the opportunity for some relaxation on a house boat on the tranquil Murray River and the area is popular for camping. Other activities include hiking, cycling or horseriding along the area's many trails.
Dwellingup is a charming town in Western Australia, located just over an hour and a quarter south of the capital city Perth. Dwellingup is home to incredible natural landscapes, from spectacular national parks to thriving river trails and towering old growth forests.
Waroona
The region has an interesting history and is well known for the Waroona Dam and Lake Navarino where thrill seekers come from far and wide to waterski, canoe and fish. The region also includes a pristine coastline and the Yalgorup National Park. Containing 11 coastal lakes and wetlands, the park is home to hundreds of migrating birds and also contains Lake Clifton, the largest Thrombolite reef in the Southern Hemisphere.
