WA Detective Trails are self-guided scenic walks around Perth with a puzzle-solving twist.
Each trail comes with a fictitious crime to solve and a list of suspects; each stop on the trail will have little detectives hunting high and low to solve the clue and reveal the identity of an innocent suspect. At the end, there will be only one name left – the guilty party! The puzzle walk booklets are also packed with extra info to make sure big detectives have just as much fun as little detectives – interesting historical titbits about landmark Perth attractions, notable detours, worthy food stops, and where the nearest toilets are.
The WA Detective Trails series is researched and written by local Perth parent, Wendy Palmer. She created the puzzle walk trails after trying to explore tourist areas with her son; he had no interest in the historical or cultural attractions, but did like spotting hidden things and solving puzzles. The puzzle walks are designed to keep both kids and adults happy while exploring the city (if the clues don’t do the trick, the ice cream and chocolate shops might).
Made just for families, the WA Detective Trails puzzle walks are an innovative and interactive way to experience the beauty and history of Perth.
