A 2-3 hour whale watching Cruise experience, departing from Mandurah, Western Australia.
The largest whale migration in the southern hemisphere takes place along Western Australia’s coast each year. In April they leave their feeding grounds in Antarctica on an epic migration to North Western Australia’s warm waters to have their young before returning from September to December. As they are often accompanied by their calves (babies) on the southern migration, they tend to stay much closer to shore than they do when heading north, making it the best time of year for whale watching from Mandurah!
During October (the peak of whale watching season) Mandurah Cruises offer 2-3 hour whale watching cruises aboard ‘The Spirit of Adventure’. Cruises will depart from Port Bouvard Marina (15mins south of Mandurah) at 8:30am.
Heading out of the Dawesville Cut keep an eye out for playful wild dolphins who like to interact with and surf alongside the cruise vessel. From here the cruise with travel south-west, out into the Indian Ocean to encounter the majestic humpback whales. Sightings of whales are guaranteed or you’ll have the option to cruise free of charge on any cruise* (See our Whale Guarantee Terms & Conditions). Live commentary will be provided by expert guides who will share their in-depth knowledge of the incredible whale species that migrate along our coast and research and rescue projects taking place.
