In the local dialect of the region’s first people, ‘Mandjoo’ means (meeting place) and ‘goordap’ means (of the heart).

Yaburgurt Trail is a cultural layering of significant places around Mandurah about Yaburgurt and his wife, Susan and how their lives interacted with a settler family, the Sutton family. This heritage and historical reflective tour includes stories of the ancient land use, Winjan’s Camp, Yaburgurt's grave and an ocean drive that reflects his totem.
Take a leisurely stroll along the Mandurah Eastern Foreshore exploring this fascinating waterway. Learn about the region’s First People and the pivotal role the waterways played in their lives for thousands of years. Thrombolites (Woggaal's Noorook) Bus & Walking Tour 2.5hours Thrombolites are the oldest known living bacterial life form, surviving after millions of years of existence. This rare and endangered natural feature is also significant in how local Aboriginal culture have interpreted this location in its Creation Beliefs.
