Let’s cycle along the coastal bike path enjoying the spectacular views of the ocean. Starting at Hillarys Boat harbour we head north at a nice easy pace passing the beaches at Whitfords and Mullaloo, then along Ocean Reef Harbour and ending at Burns Beach. Here we will enjoy a coffee break at Sistas Cafe situated right above the beach. Then once refreshed we will cycle back along the bike path returning to Hillarys. Bring your bathers if you want to enjoy a dip afterwards.
The terrain is all bike-path suitable for any bike. It’s flat to Mullaloo then it’s undulating with a few small hills to Burns Beach.
Distance is approx 24km in total.
IMPORTANT: You must have a roadworthy bike, with a bell and you must wear a helmet. Your host will carry a bike pump and puncture repair kit, although she's not a bike maintenance expert (yet)! She will also be carrying a full first aid kit.
If you're after a full-bottle land-based fishing fix and a remote "no frills" getaway, then this is the trip for you!!
Join Adventurous Women & Perth Fishing Safaris for an unforgettable beach fishing and camping expedition in the Gascoyne region of Western Australia. This 5-day raw and down to earth adventure is like no other, as we embark into the land-based fishing nirvana of the Gascoyne...... Shark Bay! Fishing predominantly from the beach, we'll be focusing on game species such as tailor, mulloway, snapper, dhufish, sharks, mackerel and more.
Please be aware that this trip is for the girl who is adventurous and more than happy to stay at a beach camp that's only accessible by 4WD, without all the comforts of home! We do however, have access to long drop toilets whoooo hoooo ...... and, our friends at Perth Fishing Safari's have their own electric shower, strictly limited to only a couple of short hot showers each though, as there's no water at the location.
We'll all be bunking in together on our own self inflating mattresses (supplied) in the roomy camper trailer set up for our comfort ... Sure to be a hoot!! However if you've got a small tent and you'd prefer to bring your own, please chat to us on booking to see if we can accommodate this option, as it will all come down to space. This trip will give you a real sense of freedom that's seldom felt in the city - sleeping under the stars listening to the sound of the ocean, catching a feed, feeling the sand between your toes and being well fed and watered, what an absolute feast for the senses!
Everything is included on the trip, all you need to bring is clothing, single fitted sheet and a pillow. These items can be supplied if needed.
We take a maximum of 4 anglers per vehicle/guide. We can only accommodate up to 8 anglers in total.
Includes:
- All transport from Perth to Shark Bay Return, in very comfortable 4WD Vehicles
- Two Professional Fishing Guide/Drivers who will cook & care for us
- Adventurous Women Owner/Host - Sue Hile
- Camping & National Park Fees
- All Camping Equipment
- All Fishing Gear/Equipment
- Meals, Water & Beer (or equivalent)
This day is not so much about being an experienced paddler, nor one's ability to even have paddled before. It's more about having the willingness and being fit enough to haul, wade and manoeuvre the kayaks (helping each other as Adventurous Women do) through waterways at the beginning, which can be a bit tricky to navigate due to obstacles and water levels before heading into more open water.
The start of our journey is near All Saints, the oldest church in WA. It was built to mark the highest point that Stirling's boat reached in 1827.
The distance of the paddle is 11km and should be achievable for anyone with a reasonable level of fitness. No prior kayaking experience is required, however you need to be willing to pitch in and help your fellow paddlers if required.
This paddle takes us through Historical Woodbridge, Guildford & Caversham - A cruisy 7km kayaking experience filled with loads of history, old bridges, heritage buildings, birds, lagoons, riverside cafes/wineries and pretty reserves.
We'll enjoy an easy exploratory paddle along a protected section of the Swan River that also marks part of the Avon Descent. Our AW Host will serve up a yummy morning tea either during or after the paddle, rounding out the perfect way to spend a Sunday morning!
The distance of the Paddle is 7km and should be achievable for anyone with a reasonable level of fitness. No prior kayaking experience is required.
A very scenic part of the river, lots to see and so much beauty to be found beyond every bend on this part of our sectional paddle. Beaches, parks and reserves are plenty; and we're sure to find the perfect spot to pull up, chillax and enjoy a yummy morning tea together.
The distance of the Paddle is 8km and should be achievable for anyone with a reasonable level of fitness. No prior kayaking experience is required.
We're currently taking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from those ladies who are interested in walking end to end on the lesser known Augusta to Busselton Heritage Trail in April next year. We currently have our guides scoping the trail out and will be releasing this tour for sale to the general public in the second half of January (April departure). Anyone who expresses an interest will be notified and given first dibs to book on this tour in the order that they make known their EOI.
The Heritage Trail covers the 100km from Augusta to Busselton and traces the early history of the area through the movements of the Bussell and Molloy families who settled in Augusta in May, 1830 and subsequently moved up the coast looking for suitable agricultural land. Many of you are no doubt aware that Western Australia boasts a couple of well known long distance hiking trails in this region- The Bibbulmun Track and the well travelled Cape to Cape Track, but very little is known about this trail. It was created for the bicentenary of Australian colonisation in 1988, but it's been neglected over the years and almost forgotten.......so we're going to explore the history, connection to country and stories that remain untold.
If you would like to express your interest to find out more and potentially join this trip in April 2021, please click on the book now and fill out your details. No need to pay a deposit, this is an Expression of Interest Only at this stage. Once the trip is released, places will be offered to those in order of their registration.

Paddling through the wildlife sanctuary and around to Tranby House is just a little taste of what will unfold along today's section on the Swan.
During today, we detour off the main flow of the Swan, discovering birdlife flourishing in wetlands and a wildlife sanctuary known as Kuljak Island, which is located in the middle of the river - once a rubbish dump it has been rehabilitated into a wildlife sanctuary. Another highlight of today's paddle is a stop off at the Historical Landmark, Tranby House where your Adventurous Women Host will be serving up a yummy picnic lunch. The paddle will continue until the river begins to widen.
The distance of the paddle is 7km and should be achievable for anyone with a reasonable level of fitness. No prior kayaking experience is required.
The Burswood area of the Swan River is filled with some fantastic sites and plenty to explore. There’s the Mediterranean vibes of Claisebrook Cove, the impressive Optus Stadium, riverside marshes, stunning city views, magical Matagarup Bridge and much more.
We start our paddle in the afternoon, allowing for a cheeky stop in and a coldie at the Camfield Pub, a detour to Claisebrook Cove.... and the grand finale of paddling under the Matagarup Bridge, finishing with the city scape on our right, as we head to Coode Street in South Perth at Sunset!
The distance of the Paddle is 7.5km and should be achievable for anyone with a reasonable level of fitness. No prior kayaking experience is required.
This 2 day hike (Friday and Saturday) is all about having fun, gaining confidence in a supportive environment, learning knew skills, exploring the Bibb 'bush camp' experience and testing out hiking while carrying your own gear!
We have chosen a moderate 23 km walk on the Bibbulmun Track to be completed over 2 days, with plenty of time to explore and enjoy the surrounds during one of the most perfect months for walking! Our walk begins at the Perth Hills Discovery Centre and onto to Helena Campsite, where we'll stay overnight (in the Shelter or BYO tent) and then return the following day to pick up our vehicles.
This is a great introduction to hiking on the Bibbulmun Track, while carrying all your own gear and sleeping in the shelters (or your own tent). It's an opportunity to have a go at this style of hiking on the Bibbulmun Track under the guidance of an experienced bush walking guide and in the company of like-minded women. It's also a great opportunity to get familiar with your gear, (or hire gear) have time to make adjustments as necessary en-route and learn what you do and do not really need to pack, before tackling a more challenging section or a multi day on the track.
You are required to have your own transport to Perth Hills Discovery Centre and leave your car overnight there (If you wish to Carpool, let us know and we’ll do our best to match you up with others who would like this option).
Your expert guide on this overnight walking break, will answer any questions you have about getting out on the Track and walking any section of the Bibbulmun, as well as providing information on how to effectively pack & carry a full backpack, tips on gear, feet, hiking poles, boots, trail food and more at a pre-walk briefing to be held approximately two to four weeks prior to the walk. This is also a great opportunity to meet your fellow walkers.
You can hire gear if you don't have your own from the Bibbulmun Track Foundation, or if you don't know anyone you can borrow from. We will provide you with a gear list (food, clothing, gear etc) to help you plan/prepare.
Includes:
- Experienced & knowledgeable bushwalking Guide, trained in Senior & Wilderness First Aid
- Full First Aid Kit including PLB carried by your Guide
- 20 Million Public Liability Insurance
- Pre-walk information session/briefing
- Tips, Tricks, Advice, Support, Planning (both on track/off track)
- Photo's of your experience
