Neighbouring the Perth CBD, Kings Park is one of the world's largest inner city parks. It enjoys sweeping views of the Swan and Canning Rivers, the city skyline and the Darling Ranges to the east.
Almost six million annual visitors enjoy a variety of spaces in the park including children's play and discovery areas, bushland trails and expansive, green parklands perfect for picnics and outdoor activities. Aspects of Kings Park Gallery Shop, the Visitor Information Centre, restaurants and public transport are easily accessible in the tourism precinct on Fraser Avenue.
The beautifully cultivated Western Australian Botanic Garden displays over 3,000 species of the State’s unique flora. Two thirds of the 400 hectare park is protected as native bushland.
Kings Park is rich in Aboriginal and European history, contemporary culture and innovative architecture. The park is renowned for its sustainable and original approach to conservation, scientific research, horticulture and public education.
