DUYFKEN - THE SHIP THAT PUT AUSTRALIA ON THE MAP!
Duyfken is a little Dutch ship that had such a big impact on the history of Australia, being recognised as the first European ship to make contact with the shores of Australia in 1606 - some 164 years before Captain James Cook and the British claim to Australia's history.
Once you step aboard, you will feel the way the ship connects the past with the present and the future.
Duyfken is opened for exhibition to the general public everyday from April to October at The Aquarium of Western Australia (AQWA) at Hillarys, as well as delivering its Education Program in Terms 2 and 3 from May to September. Tickets for the general exhibition can be purchased online www.aqwa.com.au or at AQWA's Reception.
From November to March, Duyfken relocates to her Summer berth at South of Perth Yacht Club in Applecross for the Twilight Sail Program on the Swan River. For sailing dates on the Swan River and to book, or purchase a gift voucher, please visit www.duyfken.com/sailing.
