Moondyne Country Convention Centre is a residential retreat situated on 1800 acres of farmland surrounded by the Avon Valley National Park so the place teems with wildlife – birds, emus and kangaroos.
Moondyne has over 6km of Avon River frontage with stunning views from the main buildings down across the valley. Guests are encouraged to take full advantage of the property and utilise one of the designated walk trails to the river or to the escarpment. In winter guests can warm themselves in front of the big open fire in the lounge room or in the warmer months cool off in the swimming pool outside.
Primarily a residential business conference centre Moondyne has a 120 square metre fully air-conditioned conference room and presentation equipment. However, Moondyne is widening its field of operations to allow couples and smaller groups to take advantage of the superb facilities and its staggering natural beauty.
Accommodation is in one of several chalets (or bunkhouses) or individual rooms all with ensuites, beautifully, but rustically appointed. Two cottages are also available. Meals can be either self-catered in the cottages or in the under-cover bbq area. Catering is available for groups of 10 or more.
Since opening up the resort to the wider public several weddings have taken place here. Accommodation is for up to 34 people and is ideal for social groups, family get-togethers, birthdays, sewing bees – any conceivable event that would be improved by good food, comfortable beds and quiet enjoyment.
