Beer Week in Perth CBD
You don't have to mooch around for long to find a decent beer in Perth's small bars and pubs. To whet your appetite, here are just two of the Beer Week events in Perth CBD.
Sunday 18 November, 10.00am-12.00 noon
Petition Beer Corner, State Buildings
If you'll be experiencing the new release brew on Saturday 17th, created by Blasto Brewing Co and Petition Beer Corner, save some energy to visit Petition the following morning for a hair of the dog.
OK so you had a 5 course dinner last night, and this is a 5 course brunch, and yes, the 5 dishes are matched with 5 beers before noon. But remember, just like Christmas, Beer Week in Perth comes around only once a year.
This healthy, hearty brunch packed with fresh, local produce, will prepare you for the festivities of the week to come. If you need coffee first, there are cafes within the State Buildings too. Head to neighbouring Petition Kitchen or Post, all built within the beautifully refurbished heritage buildings on St Georges Terrace.

While You're in the City
Drop into one of many other Perth pubs and bars to refuel on food and water or sample another quality craft beer.
Close to Old Faithful Bar are a collection of small bars clustered around the laneways. Look for the huge mural of a wolf and you'll know you're there.
Wolf Lane is one of those small quirky bars in Perth that are becoming so popular. The little back laneways create a nostalgic European feel that works perfectly on a Mediterranean evening.
In & Around Fremantle
Like Perth, Fremantle's bar and brewery scene is growing along with the appreciation of quality craft beers.
This selection of Beer Week events in Perth's port city takes you into the town centre, down to Fishing Boat Harbour and along to the fabulous Leighton Beach shorefront development.

While You're in the Swan Valley
Breweries and pubs in Perth's Swan Valley include the quaint and quirky Rose and Crown pub in Guildford, and the historic Guildford Hotel, which is a great choice for a family lunch.
Mandoon Estate, known for its award-winning wines, is also home to the Homestead Brewery, which serves up hearty food and full-flavoured brews in a stunning setting on the banks of the Swan River. Ask for a beer tasting to decide which brew to order, and settle in for a relaxing afternoon.
Further up the river are two German breweries, Elmar's in the Valley and Duckstein German Brewery and Restaurant.
Elmar's serves up the traditional German combination of beers and fine foods. Boasting the largest glass microbrewery kettle in the southern hemisphere, the brewery's range is influenced by classic German flavours. Stay on to try some schnitzel or German sausage in their restaurant.
Duckstein also specialises in German beer and food, accompanied by live music most weekends.
