Western Australia's local Visitor Information Centres can provide advice about local conditions and how travellers can best to enjoy their time in Western Australia. The Department of Fire & Emergency Services and Emergency WA provide real-time updates of emergencies occuring arounds the state.
For travel in the rest of Australia
The Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology provides overall weather updates for all parts of Australia, including the latest fire warnings. Stay up to date with the bush fire situation by tuning in to local ABC Radio, which is the national emergency broadcaster. Tourism Australia has developed a resource that shows which tourism areas have been affected by bushfires to ensure that industry and travellers have the most accurate and up to date information.
How can you help?
Many West Australian's and visitors are looking for ways to support the communities affected by the ongoing bushfire emergency. Donations can be made to the Australian Red Cross Bushfire Disaster Relief and Recovery Fund and below are some of the fundraiser events, appeals and initiatives taking place in Perth that you can get behind.
The Windsor Hotel Bushfire Appeal
6 - 31 January
The Windsor Hotel, South Perth will donate $1 of all Ogdens Beers sold during the month of January to the emergency wildlife fund, WIRES. The Windsor Hotel is one of Perth’s most iconic heritage-listed pubs, that has been run by the Ogden family since the 1980’s. FRINGE WORLD Festival Perth

FRINGE WORLD is facilitating donations from its website and all FRINGE Box Offices, where from now until 26 January, customers will have the option to add a donation to their ticket purchase. 100% of ticket proceeds donated will be split equally across three charities. Book your tickets now.
City of Fremantle's One Day in Fremantle
Saturday 25 January
The City of Fremantle's One Day in Fremantle, taking place on 25 January at the Bathers Beach–Kidogo Arthouse precinct, will showcase of Aboriginal food, culture and music with attendees encouraged to donate to the Fremantle Foundation's Freo Fire Fund which has been set up to support affected communities in the wake of the recent devastating bushfires. City of Perth Australia Day Skyworks
Sunday 26 January
The City of Perth is encouraging Western Australians to come together this Australia Day to build community spirit, show support and raise money for fellow Australians in bushfire affected areas. Fundraising volunteers will be encouraging Skyworks attendees to donate as much as they can on the day via cash or EFTPOS methods to help those in need. Find out more.
Mandurah Australia Day Celebrations
Sunday 26 January
This Australia Day enjoy a cooked Aussie Breakfast thanks to the Lions Club of Mandurah, followed by live music, a citizenship ceremony and flotilla of boats on the estuary. The Lions Club Mandurah will be fundraising for the Australia Lions Bush Fire Appeal at the celebrations. The Lion's Club’s fundraising attracts 0% administration fees to all it fundraising for the Bush Fire, with all money raised going directly to those effected by these terrible fires. Find out more.
Australia Day in Armadale
Sunday 26 January
Visit Armadale for an alcohol and smoke free Australia Day, a jam-packed evening of festivities and fireworks. Secure your spot early with a picnic in either Minnawarra or Memorial Parks, and embrace this wonderful community in this family friendly festival atmosphere. The Salvation Army will be collecting donations that will go towards the Australian Bushfire Relief. Find out more.
Fire Aid at Fremantle Arts Centre

Four of Western Australia's most loved bands are joining together for a night of impassioned music to raise money to assist with the continued fight and recovery of the fire ravaged Victorian and New South Wales States. Renowned WA musicians John Butler, The Waifs, San Cisco and Carla Geneve will come together for a night of uplifting live music. All proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to a number of causes but will include local NSW and VIC fire services, local communities and wildlife organisations. Find out more.
The Corner Gallery Reopening '20twenty Fire Relief' Group Show

The Corner Gallery in Subiaco is set to reopen in 2020 and to celebrate they're hosting a massive group exhibition of 20+ artists on Friday 7 February, with 50% of all art sales being donated to to fire relief. The Perth music community has come together to present With Love From WA - A Fundraiser for the East Coast Fire Disasters at Rosemount Hotel with 100% of funds raised going directly to people and animals affected by the bushfires. Featuring a stacked lineup including Almond Soy, Demon Days, Drapht, Flossy, Grace Sanders, Great Gable, Katy Steele, Jamilla, Your Girl Pho and many more! The event will take over Rosemount Hotel with 3 stages running from 2pm-11pm. Tickets are $50+bf from Oztix, with 100% of ticket sales including the booking fee being donated to the cause. Bushfire Relief Long Table Dinner at Odyssea

Odyssea, City Beach will be hosting a Bushfire Relief long table dinner with all proceeds from the night donated to help those who have been affected by the devastating bushfires.
