Western Australia's local Visitor Information Centres can provide advice about local conditions and how travellers can best to enjoy their time in Western Australia. The Department of Fire & Emergency Services and Emergency WA provide real-time updates of emergencies occuring arounds the state.
For travel in the rest of Australia
The Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology provides overall weather updates for all parts of Australia, including the latest fire warnings. Stay up to date with the bush fire situation by tuning in to local ABC Radio, which is the national emergency broadcaster. Tourism Australia has developed a resource that shows which tourism areas have been affected by bushfires to ensure that industry and travellers have the most accurate and up to date information.
How can you help?
Many West Australian's and visitors are looking for ways to support the communities affected by the ongoing bushfire emergency. Donations can be made to the Australian Red Cross Bushfire Disaster Relief and Recovery Fund and below are some of the fundraiser events, appeals and initiatives taking place in Perth that you can get behind.
The Windsor Hotel Bushfire Appeal
6 - 31 January
The Windsor Hotel, South Perth will donate $1 of all Ogdens Beers sold during the month of January to the emergency wildlife fund, WIRES. The Windsor Hotel is one of Perth’s most iconic heritage-listed pubs, that has been run by the Ogden family since the 1980’s. FRINGE WORLD Festival Perth

FRINGE WORLD is facilitating donations from its website and all FRINGE Box Offices, where from now until 26 January, customers will have the option to add a donation to their ticket purchase. 100% of ticket proceeds donated will be split equally across three charities. Book your tickets now.

Four of Western Australia's most loved bands are joining together for a night of impassioned music to raise money to assist with the continued fight and recovery of the fire ravaged Victorian and New South Wales States. Renowned WA musicians John Butler, The Waifs, San Cisco and Carla Geneve will come together for a night of uplifting live music. All proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to a number of causes but will include local NSW and VIC fire services, local communities and wildlife organisations. Find out more.
The Corner Gallery Reopening '20twenty Fire Relief' Group Show
Friday 7 February
The Corner Gallery in Subiaco is set to reopen in 2020 and to celebrate they're hosting a massive group exhibition of 20+ artists on Friday 7 February, with 50% of all art sales being donated to to fire relief. The charities bring donating to are Koalas In Care Inc. The Rescue Collective WWF-Australia NSW Rural Fire Service & Red Cross. Find out more.

Sunday 16 February
The Perth music community has come together to present With Love From WA - A Fundraiser for the East Coast Fire Disasters at Rosemount Hotel with 100% of funds raised going directly to people and animals affected by the bushfires. Featuring a stacked lineup including Almond Soy, Demon Days, Drapht, Flossy, Grace Sanders, Great Gable, Katy Steele, Jamilla, Your Girl Pho and many more! The event will take over Rosemount Hotel with 3 stages running from 2pm-11pm. Tickets are $50+bf from Oztix, with 100% of ticket sales including the booking fee being donated to the cause. Bushfire Relief Long Table Dinner at Odyssea

Odyssea, City Beach will be hosting a Bushfire Relief long table dinner with all proceeds from the night donated to help those who have been affected by the devastating bushfires.
