Are you hooked on tennis after immersing yourself in the Hopman Cup and Australian Open?
Whether you're an experienced player or a complete beginner, the summer tournaments might well have inspired you to grab rackets, balls and friends for a rally or two.
Adding further encouragement is Play Tennis Day on 23 February, an international celebration that reminds us of the joy to be had from whacking a ball over a net. The idea is to get out onto a court for a game or a few tennis lessons.
In Perth, tennis is a popular social sport at this time of year, and several tennis clubs around Perth open their courts to non-members for casual games. Kids wanting to learn can enrol in school holiday tennis lessons, and many clubs have coaches available for casual private tennis lessons too.
Alternatively, consider building a short break around your favourite sport. How does a resort with pool and tennis courts sound? This guide takes you to some of the most picturesque places to stay and play tennis in Perth, and some of the Perth tennis clubs and courts that are open to non-members for casual games and tennis lessons.
