Alex Hotel – delivering a contemporary, engaging and unique take on hotel hospitality.
Opening its doors in May 2015, Perth's newest accommodation addition, the 74-room boutique Alex Hotel has found a unique space in the Perth hotel scene.
The development sets to create a "craft" hotel with hand-with aesthetic and interiors designed to appeal to "thoughtful guests" and "inquisitive travellers".
Centrally located in Perth's Cultural Centre between the CBD and Perth's most diverse neighbourhood Northbridge, buzzing with independent retailers, cafes, small bars and pocket sized restaurants. The hotel sets to blur the boundaries between work and life, appealing to business travellers who also want to spend time exploring the local neighborhood. A fleet of Dutch designed, Lekker Bikes line the hotel entrance and are free for guests to explore the neighbourhood and beyond.
The hotel welcomes guests to enjoy modern amenities of their rooms whilst encouraging use of the communal open plan spaces for work and play. Be it the smell of freshly roasted coffee in the lobby café, good reads available in the mezzanine level or selection of Western Australian beers and wine in the "honor bar" which can also be enjoyed on the Rooftop Terrace with spectacular urban views of the city skyline.
Rooms range from cosy and intimate to those with a little more space. They all come complete with super comfortable beds, Italian Beltrami linen, Australian Bemboka towels and blankets, local WA Sodashi toiletries, hand crafted furniture from Douglas and Bec and latest smart TV’s. Complimentary continental breakfast and free WiFi provided to all guests.
The hotel restaurant Shadow Wine Bar & Dining Room, open daily from midday through to late, takes its inspiration from the strong food traditions brought to Northbridge by waves of European immigrants. Serving classic and contemporary bistro style food and bar food for afternoon aperitivo. Enter via Lock Lane to enjoy Perth's growing graffiti art scene.
For creative thinking, networking and meetings, the roof top garden terrace and meeting room, both with spectacular views of the Perth urban city skyline, caters for groups of up to 50. For larger events we partner with our neighbourhood venues State Library of WA, Heath Ledger State Theatre, Art Gallery of WA, Western Australian Museum and the Perth Arena.
