Swan Valley Food and Wine Trail

Start your journey from the city on the Great eastern Highway, to Johnston Street, onto Guilford Rd, Meadow Street and then West Swan Rd.

You can experience its many wonders along the award-winning Food and Wine Trail, a 32 - kilometre scenic loop taking in more than 150 attractions including wineries, lively breweries, fine restaurants and bustling cafés, distilleries, arts, crafts and market, accommodation outlets and venues that sell just picked fresh produce. Kids will also love the chocolate factory, lavender farm, Whiteman Park, Wildlife Parks, Maze, Supa Golf plus a whole range of activities and fresh food to sample.

The trail is well sign-posted and works in conjunction with the Swan Valley Guide and Maps, which are available from the Swan Valley Visitor Centre in Guildford and is designed to help you plan your own unique food and wine experience.

As Western Australia's oldest wine growing region, the Swan Valley has earned a solid reputation for its wines, which range from Verdelho – a Valley specialty – to other white styles, full-bodied reds and some of the world's finest Fortifieds.

Explore the region and you'll also experience world-class art galleries where you can often meet the artists. You may wish to take the family and discover the joys of holding and feeding wildlife, getting up close to nature, or trying your hand at throwing a boomerang or tasting bush tucker while learning about Aboriginal culture.

On your travels you'll find it is ultimately the people who make the Swan Valley such a special place to explore. Visit a cellar door and, chances are, you'll be greeted by the owners themselves, eager to share a yarn about the region's 180 years of viticulture.
