Pick yourself up after a long week of work and head to one of these Perth markets to steal yourself something unique and fun. Whether it's a gift or a guilty pleasure for yourself, you can't go wrong with these local wares. Below are our favourite Perth markets, along with a map to indicate where they are in relation to Perth City.

Fremantle Markets

The Fremantle Markets are easily the most popular of the bunch. Selling fresh fruit and veggies, Indigenous and independent art and products, with local music, coffee and beer on offer at every bend, visitors won't be disappointed. The Fremantle Markets have indoor and outdoor stalls that are open at different hours on different days, so be sure to double check what you want to see will be available when you visit. Make sure to taste the fresh local food as this is half the fun of these Perth markets.

When: Fridays 8am - 8pm, Saturday & Sunday 8am - 6pm
Where: Corner South Terrace & Henderson Street, Fremantle

Karrinyup Swap Mart

Cheap secondhand goods are in abundance at this Perth market, with bargains and plenty of products that will inspire your wallet-wielding hand. As is normal for most markets, cash is a must and having an open mind is also handy. Here you will find a mix of professional sellers and the odd one-timer looking to make a few dollars and free some space in their home. Not only is this an energetic environment, it's busy - so get there early to save waiting around as there is an entry ticketing system.

When: Sundays 6.30am - 11am

Kalamunda Farmer's Market

Fresh produce direct from the farm are on offer at the Kalamunda Farmer’s Market in Perth. Before heading on your routine trip to your regular shopping centre for groceries, the Kalamunda Farmer’s Market has farm to table ready produce that is fresh and local to your area.

When: Sundays 8am - 12pm
Where: 26 Central Road, Kalamunda

Kalamunda Village Markets

A distinctive mix of quality craft, provisions and produce are available at the Kalamunda Village Markets. Head to the Kalamunda Town Square for everything and anything you could imagine. The Kalamunda Village Markets tempt you with practical and fantastical wares for mum, dad and the kids, and even put a hotdog in your hands to keep you fueled as you explore each stall for souvenirs and hidden treasures.

When: Saturday 2 July & Saturday 6 August 8.30am - 3pm

Taste of Chittering gives you just that: a taste of the foods of the Chittering Valley. Local food, wine, and beer is where it all begins. From here, enjoy aromatherapy, arts, beauty, clothing, crafts, dolls, fresh produce, gifts, home baking, homewares, jewellery, plants, pottery, toys, upcycling, woodwork all in one place. Live entertainment keeps you moving from stall to stall, to taste, see, feel and fall in love with their treasures.

When: Sunday 28 August 10am - 3pm
Where: Lower Chittering Hall, 23 Chittering Valley Road

Stirling Square Market

All things, vintage, retro and upcycled to handcrafted and locally produced wares are found at Guildford's Stirling Square Market. With free children's activities, playground equipment and live entertainment, half the reason to go there is already obvious. Enjoy the all the deliciousness the Foodies Hub has to offer while you browse the stalls or just sit and enjoy the surroundings. It all make for a great day out. Guest attractions and workshops monthly.

When: 3rd Sunday of the month 9am - 3pm
Where: Stirling Square, Guildford

Gosnells Antique and Collectors Fair

The Gosnells Antique and Collections Fair is for lovers of ceramics, silver, jewellery, toys, tools, retro clothing, coins, stamps and books. The Gosnells Antique and Collections Fair is the perfect place for families, couples and singles to find a little something special and fun.

When: 3rd Sunday of the month 9am - 3pm
Where: Amherst Village Function Centre, Corner of Warton Road and Holmes Street, Southern River
Cost: $5 Adults, Concession $3 & Children Free

Wanneroo Markets, Wangara

Wanneroo Markets

The Wanneroo Markets are a buzz with food and wares that anyone would stop to explore. From clothing and jewellery to plants and arts, you won't know where to look first. This is the place to go when you feel like shopping for a bargain but you're not sure exactly what you want. Surprise yourself with a quick visit to this popular Perth market.

When: Friday - Sunday 9am - 5pm
Where: 33 Prindiville Drive, Wangara 6065

South Fremantle Markets

Head back to school for fresh, local and grower-direct fruit and veg, which is available each week, along with bread, organic beef, fish, local honey, eggs and olive oil, baked goods, herbs, jams, plants, fresh flowers, organic dog food every weekend. The first Sunday of every month is 'Big Market' day at Growers Green, with stalls selling vintage, handmade and pre-loved clothing, books, jewellery, craft, gifts and accessories.

When: Sundays 8am - 12pm
Where: South Fremantle Senior High School, Lefroy Road, Beaconsfield

Mandurah Boardwalk Farmer's Market

Try fresh local produce right on the water and enjoy the sights and sounds of Mandurah's beautiful coastal position. With bread, milk, honey and plenty of oils and coffee, there's not a lot more you could want for your day. Also on offer are a range of handicrafts, clothes and music, all waiting to be chosen to go home.

When: Sundays, 8am - 1pm
Where: Mandurah Boardwalk, 75 Mandurah Terrace, Mandurah

    Perth is one of visited city in Australia. And I have visited some of the above mentioned markets when I was living there, now I moved to London for my career at CV Folks, and wish to visit these places if I will go there in future.
