Kings Park Festival 2016 - Feature Flower

Find yourself in a 'Floral Fantasy' at the 2016 Kings Park Festival from 1 - 30 September, 2015. Wildflower lovers, gardening devotees, art aficionados and music enthusiasts unite!

Visit the world's biggest display of Western Australia's famous wildflowers from every region of the state without leaving the city at Kings Park and Botanic Garden and enjoy free and fascinating guided walks, roving wildflower characters, Perth's best native plant sale, live music, visiting artists and more!

Keep an eye out for The Feature Flower for the 2016 Kings Park Festival - the Black Kangaroo Paw (Macropidia fuliginosa) which is known for its bright green flowers and striking black stems, pictured above. It is found in the wild only in the South West region of Western Australia.

    Join Kings Park and Botanic Garden at Aspects of Kings Park from 24 September - 3 October to meet talented West Australian artist, Helen Ansell. Working from her regional studio near Geraldton, Helen Ansell of Mulla Mulla Designs is a self-taught artist specialising in paintings and textiles.
