Whale watching season

Unforgettable whale watching experiences

Did you know that WA's Humpback Highway experiences the largest whale migration in the Southern Hemisphere? In April, the whales leave the rich feeding grounds of Antartica to raise their young in the warm in WA's north west. Their return journey brings them close to Perth's coast from September - December.

Slime Time at AQWA

Get ready for some great gooey fun as AQWA brings you Slime Time from 20 September - 31 October!

Discover the secrets of slime as AQWA celebrates all the wild and wonderful ways in which sea creatures use it. Slime Time is the perfect activity these school holidays to educate and entertain the kids. They will love exploring AQWA's exhibits through slimy decorations as they uncover the outrageous ways that sea creatures use slime to help them survive.

For some hands on fun, visit the interactive slime station. Put your hands in the (synthetic) hagfish pit if you dare! Then spend some time with AQWA's fun and friendly Ocean Guides as you take part in more bonus activities.

Everyday there's a 'Slime Surfers' educational lecture; a make-your-own slime science activity; free tattoo session; and a parrotfish bubble challenge. Standard AQWA entry price applies, no additional costs and no booking required. For more information view the flyer or visit for full calendar of events.
