The Western Australian Museum proudly presents Afghanistan: Hidden Treasures from the National Museum Kabul from July 26 - November 16. Touring Australia for the first time, Hidden Treasures features more than 230 priceless artefacts of gold, bronze and stone sculptures, ivories, painted glassware and other ancient works of art.

Richard Avedon People celebrates the work of American photographer Richard Avedon (1923 to 2004) at the Art Gallery of WA from 2 August - 17 November. The exhibition offers an in-depth overview of Avedon's achievements in the art of black and white portraiture photography and includes influential artists, celebrities and political activists.

This exhibition showcases a variety of objects from the Fremantle Prison Collection as well as a selection of photographs by photographer Karin Calvert-Borshoff taken in 1991 before the closure of the maximum security establishment. Both are a testimony to how prisoners passed time in Fremantle Prison.

The City of Perth's FREE themed family activity day, Piazzarama returns to Northbridge Piazza on the first Sunday of the month from September 2014 to May 2015. Each month sees a new theme, creating a diverse range of entertainment and films. Families are encouraged to head down for a day that will keep both mum and dad and the kids entertained.

Administration is just Oulipian Poetry is a significant solo exhibition by Western Australian born, Melbourne-based artist, George Egerton-Warburton. Egerton-Warburton's interconnected installation will see PICA's gallery filled with paintings, videos,sculptures and the scent of rain on dirt, as it collectively forms a sensorially charged, contemplative environment.

The Gnarla Moort (Our People) exhibition will be on display at the Perth Town Hall from 17 October to 2 November. Twelve Noongar leaders are being honoured for their achievements and the significant contribution they've each made to the Western Australian community in a thought-provoking exhibition.
