Yanchep National Park

Perth's Natural and Cultural Meeting Place

Located only 45 minutes north of Perth’s city centre you’ll soon understand why Yanchep National Park attracts over 240,000 local, interstate and international visitors each year.

Take part in a guided tour of Crystal Cave, Aboriginal cultural experience (subject to availability), or a leisurely bush walk through one of the many walk trails.

Enjoy barbeque and picnic facilities, row boat hire (seasonal), scenic walk trails, koalas, kangaroos and an abundance of other native animals and plants in one of the state’s oldest national parks.

Nestled in tuart and banksia woodlands, the park is home to many different water and bush birds including grebes, swans, pelicans, cormorants, egrets, kingfishers, parrots, wrens and honeyeaters, to name a few. Endangered Carnaby’s black-cockatoos are a spectacular daily sight. Western Grey kangaroos are commonly seen on the walk trails or grazing on the picnic lawns and golf course.

Visit McNess Visitors Centre for tour bookings and a wide range of souvenirs, experience the hospitality of the historic Yanchep Inn or tempt your sweet tooth at Chocolate Drops.

Whether you are looking for a quick stop on your way north, a day trip from Perth, or an over night getaway Yanchep National Park offers visitors an array of recreational, conservation and heritage experiences every day of the year.

Yanchep National Park is enjoyable all year round however, spring is the best time to view the wildflowers.

Park entry fees apply.
