Kwillana Dreaming Cultural Tours

All Kwillana Dreaming Cultural Tours are guided by traditional Aboriginal guides fluent in the language, culture, traditions and history of the local Noongar people and their land. Kwillana is the local word for dolphin, a creature that is important to Noongar people and is symbolic of the area. Tours are offered which will take you too many significant sites in the Mandurah region and explain the heritage and the culture involved.

Tours are designed to introduce local, interstate and overseas travellers to the rich culture of the Noongar people in the Peel region. Sites visited include Serpentine River and fish traps at Barragup Bridge, Winjan's Grave, Hall's Cottage, Winjan's Camp site, Wannanup Springs, Thrombolites at Lake Clifton and Bowerap (Mandurah Quays).

The eco-tours have cultural significance as well as flora and fauna importance, with minimum impact on the environment using existing trails. Wild life is observed and identified, bush foods are sampled, bush medicine is introduced and the environment is looked at from a Noongar perspective.

Note: Tours are only available for groups of seven or more people.
