Aboriginal Art and Craft Gallery Kings Park
The Aboriginal Art and Craft Gallery is situated high on Mount Eliza in Kings Park overlooking the Swan River and Perth City.
The Aboriginal Art and Craft Gallery will dramatically enrich the visitor's understanding and experience of Indigenous art and craft from Western Australia. The gallery, which is Aboriginal owned, exhibits the works of Aboriginal artists from all regions of Western Australia.
Art is central to Aboriginal culture. In a culture with no written language, art was used to record the beliefs and stories from the Dreaming, and to pass these on to successive generations. Art, while still fulfilling this earlier role, is now also being used to express and describe contemporary issues impacting on their lives.
You are invited to experience a journey through Aboriginal art and craft located in Perth's picturesque Kings Park.
