The bay lights up at night as people migrate to the waterfront to enjoy a BBQ or dine at the many cafes. And by day the foreshore lawns and parklands come alive with a colourful mix of walkers, picnickers, paddlers, fishermen and children at play.

The beautiful new Mandurah Ocean Marina in the heart of Mandurah houses magnificent fishing vessels while also catering to land lovers with wide sweeping parklands, excellent alfresco dining, viewing platforms, shops, markets and cafes.

From here pleasure craft head out into the wide calm expanses of the Peel Inlet, Harvey Estuary and into the brilliant blue waters of the Indian Ocean. These water wonderlands are home to friendly schools of dolphins, pelicans in their natural habitat and a glorious selection of elegant water birds.

Try a dive charter, an eco charter or scenic cruise. Or what about parasailing, crabbing, fishing, swimming, canoeing or kayaking – the list of water activities goes on and on.

There is a broad range of accommodation available or, hire a houseboat for idyllic days and nights on the estuary and river. You can also join the passing parade of people on the town bridges and jetties as fishermen cast a line by day and drop-net the tide for prawns by night.
