With more hours of sunshine than an other Australian capital city, Perth enjoys a true Mediterranean climate with long hot summers ( December - February ) and mild cool winters ( June - August ).

Perth's summer averages are 18 degrees C ( minimum ) to 29 degrees C ( maximum ) with February the hottest month. Winter averages are 8 degrees C ( minimum ) to 18 degrees C ( maximum ).
Rainfall
Perth summer average is 11mm and winter average is 164mm per month.
We observe four seasons - Summer ( Dec. Jan. Feb. ), Autumn ( Mar. Apr. May ), Winter ( June. July. Aug. ) and Spring ( Sept. Oct. Nov. ).
