Based on the shores of the spectacular Shoalwater Islands Marine Park, just 45 minutes south of Perth, Rockingham Wild Encounters is a cruise company best known for its award winning Swim with Wild Dolphins tour.
With over 20 years of friendship and trust developed with the local dolphins, Rockingham Wild Encounters offer a unique opportunity to experience these fascinating creatures in their natural environment.
They don't do tricks and there's no feeding involved, you simply spend time enjoying each others company. This tour's the ultimate close encounter for all wildlife enthusiasts!
Rockingham Wild Encounters also operate an hourly ferry service to beautiful Penguin Island. This unspoilt nature reserve is just a five minute boat ride away and boasts white sandy beaches, secluded bays and crystal clear waters perfect for swimming or snorkelling.
Penguin Island is home to Western Australia's largest colony of little penguins (the smallest species in the world). Visitors can get up close and learn all about the penguins at the Discovery Centre - the three penguin feeding session daily at 10:30am, 12:30pm and 2:30pm.
Visitors can also combine their visit with a dolphin watching eco-adventure or a glass bottom boat cruise that visits a colony of Australian Sea Lions.
Dolphin Swim Tour is suitable for children aged six years and over and the Dolphin Watch Tour and Rockingham Penguins are highly recommended for children of all ages.
Please see website for cancellation policy.
Disabled Access: Rockingham Dolphins offers limited disabled access depending on your disability. Please contact us to discuss. We offer good wheel chair access on boats and a series of timber boardwalks on Penguin Island provides good disabled access.
