Penguin and Seal Island Wildlife Adventure Tour, through Shoalwater Islands Marine Park.
We Provide: Double sea kayaks (traditional sit-inside, with rudders for comfortable cruising), paddles, PFDs (life jackets), long sleeve sun shirts, sun hats, drybags for valuables, snorkelling gear, entry fee into Penguin Discovery Session (feeding show), qualified kayak guide, morning tea, lunch, transport from Fremantle, smiles, wildlife and a great time!
Itinerary: After unloading our kayak trailer our guides fit you with sun shirts, hats, life jacket and snorkelling gear (November to March only). We provide a brief kayak lesson, cover some basic safety concerns and head off kayaking.
We spend the morning kayaking through the islands passing the sea lion colony – these magnificent creatures often swim and play between the kayaks. We provide a yummy morning tea and visit the Fairy Penguins before paddling around Penguin Island.
After lunch we take a leisurely stroll to explore the island, checking out the birdlife and where our guides share local stories. We then kayak back to our vehicle, hopefully with the sea breeze, pack up and head home.
You Bring: Drinking water, sunscreen, sunglasses, bathers/boardies, camera, towel, thongs/sandals. Some people like to bring a change of dry clothes to put on after the paddle.
Pick up: From Fremantle at 7:20am next to Pioneer Park Lawn, corner of Market St, opposite Fremantle Train Station. Departing at 7.30am. Or, from Rockingham at 8am at Pengos Café carpark, 154 Arcadia Drive, opposite the Penguin Rd intersection. Starting at 8.15pm.
